Ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics, People & Power, along with The Global Reporting Program at the University of British Columbia looked beyond the spectacle of the Games to investigate what they meant for the people living in their shadow — from displacement and the removal of unhoused migrants to the expansion of AI-powered surveillance and its implications for civil liberties.
This one took me to Paris. As a producer on the documentary, I researched and found contributors, contacted and coordinated sources, and travelled to Paris to report and produce the story on the ground.
