I started taking photographs long before I thought seriously about storytelling as a career. Somewhere along the way, the camera became another way of paying attention — to people, politics, performance, grief, clothes, cities and the small moments that would otherwise disappear.
My photography moves between documentary, portraiture, editorial and the occasional beautifully unclassifiable thing. I’m less interested in making everything look perfect than I am in making it feel like something.
From Delhi streets and protest sites to concert stages and quiet portraits, these are fragments of places, people and moments I wanted to remember.
A community walking together in remembrance. Photographed in Squamish for The Squamish Chief, this photo essay documents the community gathering for the fourth annual Truth and Reconciliation March. The photographs focus on the people who showed up — families, Elders, community members and supporters — and the quieter details of collective remembrance: orange shirts, handmade signs, faces in the crowd and the act of walking together. For me, the story was less about photographing an event than documenting a moment of listening, remembrance and community presence.
A photo essay documenting the people behind Squamish’s relationship with its rivers — volunteers, families, conservationists and community members gathering to learn about and care for the waterways around them. Photographed for The Squamish Chief, the series looks at conservation not as an abstract environmental issue, but as something deeply local: people showing up, getting their hands dirty and paying attention to the place they call home.
Almost 1,300 bald eagles, one annual count. A visual story from Brackendale’s annual eagle count, documenting one of Squamish’s most recognizable winter gatherings — both the bald eagles returning to the region and the people who come out to count, observe and protect them. The photographs move between wildlife and community, capturing the scale of the eagle population alongside the quieter ritual of looking up, waiting and watching.
